Since Vermont Creamery was founded, in 1984, a lot has changed. But even as the more things change, the more they stay the same. Vermont Creamery is still proudly located in Vermont and committed to making consciously-crafted, delicious dairy that reflects who they are and what they care about. Founders Allison Hooper and Bob Reese have taken the time to perfect every detail of what they make, and their attention to detail shows a true taste of terroir.
Vermont Creamery cheeses and butters have won hundreds of national and international awards, including seven World Cheese Awards, three Sofi Awards, six awards at the U.S Cheese Championship Cheese Contest, and many more! Even after having to expand their trophy case , their team remains the most valuable resource and they still put taste above all. Great cheese and butter come from great milk, and great milk comes from happy, healthy animals and that is exactly what you will get from Vermont Creamery. You will never eat anything that the Vermont Creamery Team doesnt not believe in. Mild, fresh goats’ milk flavor in all it’s glory, this is the cheese that started it all for Vermont Creamery. For the best flavor, we recommend leaving the Classic Goat Cheese at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving. Fresh milk taste with mild flavor and smooth texture set this Vermont Creamery original apart. We would recommend cutting into this log while enjoying a Vinho Verde, IPA, or Belgian Tripel, or topped with a dollop of Blueberry Jam.
