Sam's Maple Porridge
  1. 1 cup maple syrup
  2. 1/2 cup dark molasses
  3. 6 cups water
  4. 1 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  6. 1 tsp. ground ginger
  7. 1 qt. oatmeal
  8. 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  9. 4 eggs
  10. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  11. 1 tsp whole milk
  12. 1/2 lb dark raisins
Heat water and salt to a boil. Add oatmeal and cook 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Pour in a greased baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
